Make Hidden Valley RV Park your base camp while you set out for fishing or hiking along the Medio Creek or excursions to see the horse races at Retama Park. You can enjoy a quiet morning of bird watching in camp for hawks, painted buntings, woodpeckers, kingfishers, large grey herons and egrets, then spend an afternoon shopping at Market Square (El Mercado) or take a stroll along the popular River Walk . The new expanded Riverwalk features the Pearl Farmers Market and several new miles of the San Antonio River accessible for your enjoyment.
Fans of live sports can plan to see the NBA Spurs play at the AT&T Center in downtown San Antonio. For even more thrills and spills, visit in early February (February 4 - 20, 2010) for the annual San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and cheer on your favorite bucking bronco or sing along with renowned country musicians and singers. We're only 18 miles, about 23 minutes from the Rodeo grounds. You can stop by SeaWorld San Antonio for its grand opening in early March, then make a cultural tour through amazing art at the Marion Koogler McNay Art Museum and the Witte Museum.

Learn more about our region's history with a stop at the Institute of Texan Cultures, a program of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Afterward, swing by the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum for a bite of lunch and a fun Wild West experience, San Antonio style!
